The following are the canine and feline vaccines offered through our hospital. Our staff will discuss these with you, and together you can decide on the best vaccine protocol for your dog or cat based on risk of exposure and other factors.


Canine Vaccines

  • DHPP (commonly referred to as "Distemper"): combination vaccine that protects against Distemper, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Adenovirus. 
  • Rabies: protects against Rabies, required by law in all domestic animals
  • Lyme: protects against lyme disease, transmitted through the deer tick
  • Leptospirosis: protects against Leptospirosis, which can cause kidney and liver disease
  • Bordetella: protects against Bordetella, or "Kennel Cough"; usually required by boarding facilities, groomers, day cares, etc.
  • Canine Influenza (commonly referred to as "Dog Flu"): protects against Canine Influenza; sometimes required by boarding facilities, groomers, day cares, etc.

Feline Vaccines

  • FVRCP (commonly referred to as "Distemper"): combination vaccine that protects against three of the deadliest transmissible diseases affecting cats: feline viral rhinotracheitis (a severe and highly contagious upper respiratory infection caused by a feline herpes virus), calicivirus (which can cause pneumonia) and panleukopenia (also called feline distemper)
  • Rabies: protects against Rabies, required by law in all domestic animals
  • Feline Leukemia Virus: protects against feline leukemia, a virus that weakens an animal’s immune system and predisposes cats to a variety of infections and diseases
